Our final day we spent the morning at Yorktown and the afternoon back in Williamsburg.
Yorktown is where the final battle was fought that won victory for the Americans in the Revolutionary War

Since Isaac wasn't interested in the museum that I was interested in indoors, we came outside and made friends with George Washington
And then we found a dress up area inside, so we went and dressed up like a soldier...well, that was the idea
Erin was asked to be a volunteer in a canon deomonstration
She was assigned the task of lighting the fuse on the cannon. Thankfully, that was her role for demonstration purposes only. When it really came time to do it, one of the trained staff at the museum did it instead, much to this mother's relief!

We took a tour of the inside of the Governor's palace. How's that for an entryway?!?
That would be a nice view to wake up to each morning!
We went over to the Great Hopes Plantation where we learned about the lives of the slaves:
Finishing up a great week at Williamsburg. We had so much fun together!
And thank goodness for the pool where we were staying - we spent almost every evening there!
