(June): Day 6: Williamsburg

The next day we started our morning back at the Powell House, where we learned about life in Colonial Williamsburg through Nursery Rhymes

Washing hands and learning about soapmaking

Out in the family garden

Isaac thought it was great to find this cow in the backyard

Mike and I were trying to decide which of these we need at our house for naughty kids

I guess getting sent to your room isn't such a bad punishment!

We took a tour of the inside of the Capitol:

This lady was one of the daughters of James Geddy.  She stopped and talked to Elaina for a long time about her life in Williamsburg

And there is the peruke maker himself, telling us all about how to make an 18th century wig.

It was fascinating to learn about which type of wig men would wear, according to their rank and profession.  He told us which types of wigs Mike would wear as an Economist, but I can't remember which it was

We went to the Asylum at the end of the day.  Isaac's trying to break in!
