These are my favorite things to post because I think the girls are hilarious!
*I realized recently that Elaina thinks Target is called "run some errands." We'll pass it and she'll say "look Mommy, it's run some errands" or she'll come home and tell Daddy that we bought something at "run some errands today." It took me a while to figure out why when I would tell her that we're going to run some errands, she would throw a fit if we pulled into the HEB parking lot or any other place. Now I get it! :)
*While my Mom was here, Elaina and my Mom and I were going to play Candy Land. Her prized possession, Kitty was sitting on the middle of the dining room table, where we were going to play, so my Mom (very gently!) tossed Kitty onto the couch. We thought Elaina was going to have a heart attack! She completely lost her breath, her eyes almost bugged out of her head, she was so in shock for several seconds she couldn't even say anything. And when she could finally compose herself, she totally reprimanded my Mom, saying "That wasn't very nice of you!!!"
*After Elaina's first day of Sunbeams, I asked her who her teacher was and she started listing off a couple ladies in the primary presidency (her teacher was out of town for the first few weeks), so she said "Sister Morrill, and Sister...Sister...Sister-Addison's-Mommy." Sorry Robyn, I guess we lose our identity when we become Moms. You are apparently now Sister Addison's Mommy! :)
*Elaina turned to her friend Matthew at preschool at a totally random moment and said "Matthew, will you marry me in the temple?" And he turned back to her and said yes! Oh dear...
I'm finally getting caught up on our blog! I've been doing a lot of posting lately, so scroll through the older posts (at the bottom of the page) to see other recent posts. One of these days I will actually be caught up! :)

New Sunbeam & New Nursery Girl
January 4 was a really exciting day for all of us! Elaina had her first day as a Sunbeam, and Erin started going to nursery!! Erin has adjusted well and I've even been able to sneak out without her noticing I'm gone! I'm sure that won't be the case every time though. She loves the class, but for now she's mostly interested in climbing on the little chairs. Bubble time is a huge hit for her too.
Elaina was so sad last October when several of her friends participated in the primary program at church and she didn't get to go up on the stand with them because she wasn't a Sunbeam yet. I told her that in a few months she could be a Sunbeam. Just a few days before Sunbeams started I realized that she thought she would be sitting on the stand and singing songs for me....not til October sweetie! I think she misses the snacks she got in nursery, but overall she loves being a Sunbeam and being with the big kids! In her first day she came home and I asked her what she talked about and she said "Earth." The other thing I love is that she got her very own set of scriptures to go to primary with. They are a little heavy for her, but she carries them with two hands and is so proud to be carrying them around with her. I can't believe she's old enough to be in primary!

Children's Museum
We went to Houston to see the Children's Museum with friends a few weeks ago. It is free on Thursday nights if anyone is interested. It was really crowded though. Still, we loved it and want to go back again! We were there 2 hours but didn't even see everything.

Elaina's favorite part was the miniature grocery store. We lost her at one point in the night, but I knew she'd be back at the grocery store, which she was! :)

Christmas
It was just the four of us for Christmas this year, which was a first. It was nice to be in our own home and start some of our own traditions. I made a small Turkey dinner on Christmas Eve, and Elaina and I decorated sugar cookies for Santa that day. During the month of December, Elaina's first priority when she woke up was to add a piece to our Nativity Advent Calendar and we'd talk about Christ's birth every day. It was so wonderful to watch her learn and love the story.
Tradition on my side of the family is that my Nana has one present for everyone to open Christmas eve, which are always pajamas. So that's how we started off Christmas Eve. Here are Elaina and Erin in their brand new pajamas:
We then read from Luke 2 and read other good Christmas stories. I even made us all sing carols (I'm a dork, but you have to sing on Christmas!). The girls wrote a letter to Santa (and he replied!) and set out cookies and carrots from him and Rudoph (which they loved!).

Finally Updating
Once again, I'm really behind on blogging. It'll take a while, but I'm going to try and update the last few months (I'm terrible at keeping a journal, so this acts as a journal for our family...). I have been terrible at keeping up with everyone's blogs, so I have a lot to catch up on. I'm looking forward to it! :)
These are just some random fun pictures from the last few months:
