Our house in Maryland

This is our new house!  We're just renting it, but for now it's a good fit for our family.  The upstairs is a little bit smaller than our house in Texas, but with a finished basement, we have about the same amount of space, which is perfect for us.  

 We're in a great neighborhood in Silver Spring, which is just north of DC.  Mike's commute to work is about 35-40 minutes by car, and we're about 10 minutes from the metro, so a quick ride into the city.  The house is on a corner lot at the end of a cul de sac with lots of kids, which is fantastic.  The girls spent every day all summer bouncing from house to house - just how summer should be!

This is the basement, which we've turned into a toy room, and an office for me

This is a small walk in closet in the basement that we turned into an office for Mike.  Believe it or not, he loves it!  He laid some carpet, and put in a desk, and customized it to his liking.  In December he can start working from home once a week, and next June he'll be able to work from home twice a week, so we needed a quiet place where he can get work done.  This has been perfect so far.

Please come visit!  We love to have company, and we can take you to some cool places!  Plus, I just bought a futon, so we even have a place for you to sleep! :)
