More Bluebonnet Pictures

When I went with Kim, we found this adorable spot in Independence, about 30 minutes away. I think it is an old well. When we got there, several artists were on the hill, painting in open air. It's just what the Impressionists would have looked like over a hundred years ago, it was so perfect! My friend Amy I and took our kids back the next week so that I could try and get a couple good ones of the girls together and I got some fun ones of the girls just playing too. You can see the scenery better in some of these. It was so picturesque!

Cute Sisters & Best Friends

Here are some cute pictures I have of the two girls together. They have just been so adorable together recently. I hope it lasts forever! Erin admires Elaina (or "Ya-Ya" as Erin calls her) so much and mimics whatever she does. Elaina loves to have a little playmate all the time, and even locks her in the toy room so that she can't escape to me! I think it's hilarious that she feels the need to lock the door, even though Erin wouldn't be able to open the door if it was unlocked! Maybe she's trying to lock me out so that I can't get Erin when she wants out!! :)

I also love that they share a room. They are still separated at naptime because if they weren't they just wouldn't go to sleep ever. But the best noises are at night when they are giggling and laughing together before they go to sleep. Elaina reads stories to Erin at bedtime and brings Erin a book when she wants one. Thankfully they do fall asleep after a little bit, but I love them to have that time together at night.

Erin gives the BEST hugs!!! If you haven't had a hug from her recently, you need one!

Catching up, again!

Ok, it's for real this time. I'm going to catch up on my blog and try and stay caught up! I'm also going to try and stay up to date on all of your blogs too. I've been out of the loop for so long. I keep hoping things will slow down, but they don't, so I have a renewed commitment to just trying to keep caught up with my life. So, once I find myself "caught up" I'm going to try and stay there! :) This includes blogging.

So, here are some pictures that are just fun from the last few months, many of them thanks to my Mom who came to visit in January.

My Mom was so sick of Spot once she left. I think the girls had her read that story to them 100 times!! And they have a whole bookshelf of other books, so she must have been a good storyteller with that one! :)

Riding her tricycle that she is way to big for. She has since upgraded to a bike with training wheels. I need to post pictures of her on the new one!

My Mom took us all the Chuck E Cheese when she was here. It was a first for me and the kids. Elaina was scared of the giant, robotic, singing Mouse (and I don't blame her!) so we ate our food as far away from the mouse as possible, but the games were great and we had a lot of fun.
